Partner promotions announced at Freeths

Freeths Solicitors is delighted to announce the promotion of two of its outstanding lawyers to partners within the firm.  Tom Walker and Balvinder Jaj have both been promoted for their commitment to the firm and the service they provide to clients.    

Tom Walker, who sits in the firm’s highly regarded corporate team, specialises in advising businesses on a full range of corporate matters including formation, inward investment, lending and security, MBOs, MBIs, sales and purchases.  He acts for companies, LLPs and partnerships in sectors including food, manufacturing, education, healthcare and IT.  He has also advised banks and venture capitalists in relation to investment and acquisition funding. 

Tom is also a notary public, having recently qualified after spending two years studying part-time to meet the requirements set by the governing body for notaries – The Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Balvinder Jaj is also promoted to partner and works in the firm’s agricultural team, which is ranked as one of the UK’s Top Tier teams for agricultural and landed estates advice.   He specialises in advising landed estate owners and farmers on all forms of development agreements; purchase/sale of farms and rural businesses; secured lending and undertaking complex first registrations.
