The corporate team advises on the full range of intellectual property rights and issues.  As well as handling a variety of heavyweight transactions with an intellectual property angle, including due diligence work and the sale, purchase or licensing of particular assets, the team supports innovation in all its stages, from the conception, registration and commercialisation of intellectual property to product development and launch and beyond.  The team counts a variety of individual entrepreneurs and inventors, start up companies, technology businesses, research institutions, charities, research funders and universities as clients. 

The team also offers support to local schools and student societies to promote entrepreneurship.

The principal contact, Malcolm Sadler, advises both commercial and third sector clients on IT and software contracts, web-related matters and all aspects of the commercialisation process for a range of intellectual property assets including patents, copyright material, software, databases, trademarks and designs. His particular expertise is in the academic and technology transfer field after working as inhouse counsel for a leading university technology transfer organisation and advising on confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs), material transfer agreements (MTAs), research agreements, licensing strategies and agreements, investments and spin out company formation.
